There is something about the way Kishori ji approaches and unfolds the raga with such depth, sensitivity & introspection that remains unparalleled among contemporary musicians and keeps pulling you back. She transcended conventional boundaries and redefined the language of her singing. Her interpretation of the raga feels deeply personal and meditative to me, just like a river flowing quietly yet endlessly revealing new shades at every turn.
