@hybridcalisthenics: I almost always take sets to failure or near failure. "Failure" means different things to different people, though. It ranges from "mild discomfort was felt" to "I literally cannot move". So I say "do as many as you safely can", but this can also seem vague to some people. A simple way is to notice the speed of your last few reps. If they are much slower (like, you literally can't move faster even if you tried) and your form is starting to fall apart a bit, you're probably near the end of your set and you only have 1-2 more. Others just think "leave 0-2 reps in reserve" Learning to do this safely helps us push ourselves safely to grow and get stronger. Have a wonderful day! #hybridcalisthenics
