The CGW developers are not doing this to spite AH nor do they have any ill intentions or feelings towards them. The goal is not to take away from the main GW, but to create their own story with cool customized features and gameplay that allows players to enjoy the game they love even more **on top of** the base game. - We are just a group of modders who like playing HD2 but also love messing around with the game, making cool features, and seeing what we can do. And we wanted to share some of our cool stuff with others. Our intentions were to allow other players to have fun playing a different HD2 experience during downtimes in the main GW. We knew there would be some people that would only play CGW and that there would be some criticism when we first came up with the idea months ago, but not to this extent and it wasn’t our intent. We didn’t make CGW because we were unhappy with AH or the current state of HD2. It just so happens we were forced to launch at a bad time during lots of controversy due to the impending EAC addition. And this doesn’t make us AH “glazers” like some would say as we definitely don’t agree with all of their choices/actions and are even making our own community based balance changes and such. It just wasn’t and still isn’t the intent of the mod to be a weapon against AH. - We are piggybacking off of AH's official HD2 server and as of right now we have no plans of separating from it or creating our own private servers. However things that happen in the CGW do not affect the main GW and vise versa. - The CGW is an online mod but does not affect players who are not in it/do not have it as they cannot join CGW lobbies. Due to this, things like quickplay and SOS beacons do not work for CGW players. However the CGW can still be played with others by inviting/joining peoples lobbies who are also in the CGW. We also have other built-in means of quickplay/joining lobbies in the works. - Unreleased/leaked/datamined content will never be available through the CGW. The CGW biomes are bits and pieces of the public biomes put together into one to make our own custom biomes. The roaming SEAF and other stuff are customizations we made to the game, not unreleased content. Nothing in CGW is something that AH is currently working on for the future that we are releasing early. It is all existing stuff that is currently available to everyone in the live game just customized/changed. - Currently, the features that CGW includes are: A custom story with its own Galactic Map, sectors, and planets, custom biomes, custom enemy spawns/divisions/factions/subfactions/patrols, roaming SEAF with different weapons, user controlled mech customization, and custom POI's with planetary effects. Features that will be added in the future are: weapon/explosive/projectile/stratagem rebalancing, custom missions & operations, custom enemy weapons & inventories, multifaction battles, GM controlled mech/vehicle customization, and possibly more.
