WHAT A LIFE! WHAT A MYSTERY! 😭💔 I woke up this morning with so many thoughts in my heart. Sometimes, we make plans for tomorrow without knowing what tomorrow holds. Jesus told us not to worry about tomorrow, yet we often forget that none of us knows our checkout time. I landed in Nigeria yesterday evening from Canada, and as I opened Instagram, I came across the news of your departure. Honestly, I didn't know whether to call it sad news or good news. Sad for those of us you left behind, but comforting to know that in Christ, death is not the end. We have the hope of eternal life. My brother, we spoke on the phone just last week! 😭 We were making plans for the future. I had already featured you on my first-ever official album, and you were asking when it would be released so we could plan what to do together. Little did I know that our conversation would become a memory I would cherish forever. But something has been on my mind since last night: the lyrics of our song. I listened to them repeatedly, and now, in the light of what has happened, I understand those words differently. It almost feels as though you were speaking through the lyrics like someone who knew something about the journey ahead. I cannot claim to know what you knew, but the words hit differently now. They have left me with so many questions and a deep sense of awe. Sometimes, a song is more than just a song. Life is spiritual, and there are things beyond our human understanding. Today, those lyrics mean something to me that I never understood before. 😭💔 I will never forget your smile, your humility, and your gentle spirit. Anytime we were together, you were always smiling, slow to anger, and peaceful. With the little time we spent together, both in person and on the phone, I encountered an amazing soul. I have never written something like this about someone who passed away, but I cannot keep quiet about my brother. We had so many plans, so much to do, and so many moments ahead of us. Yet, life has reminded me that tomorrow is never promised. Who are we to question God? Even when we don't understand, we will continue to give Him the glory. I thank God that you knew Christ. That is where my comfort lies: in the hope that, by His grace, we will meet again. My heartfelt condolences to your beautiful wife, your two amazing children, and your entire family. May the Holy Spirit comfort and strengthen them through this painful season. My brother, I wish we had more time. I wish we could celebrate the release of this album together.
