I had an induction and was put on Pitocin, but what I can say is that they felt like period cramps on a whole Nother level things that didn’t go away with just readjusting my position or farting when it was time to actually push the cramps migrated more towards my butt it was like I really had to poop so there are differences, but you don’t know until you’re in the moment and even then us women have just been taught to minimize our pain. You just have to trust your body and your instincts will tell you what to do and always Voice your pain and your plans.!!

I don't know lmao even of it's Braxton Hicks I was at an ultrasound the other day and thought my baby just kicked hard not bad right no the ultrasound tec looked me dead in the eye and asked if I was ok because that was a big contraction

I didnt know at all, but I can say that to me, they felt like REALLY intense period cramps at first. not only in the belly, but also the back. time them. start when it hurts, and end when the tightness goes away. if theyre at regular intervals, theyre probably contractions and not Braxton hicks!

Tight belly, may have pain in the lower pelvic region & lower back pain, EVEN possibly inner thigh pain (ik sounds weird but my dr told me how a few of her other pts have had it)

usually like a really tight squeeze but a girl i knew said she was having weird lower abdominal twingeing 12 hrs later her baby was born. Sometimes its different each pregnancy she had 5 kids and didnt know it was contractions.

this is actually so much truer with your second child. i mean you know what a contraction feels like but bc you already went through it, you just kinda brush them off as “not that serious” until it actually ramps up😭

idk how y'all didn't know. I was chilling at 39w and 3 days and started getting a few really bad cramps. I literally stood up, told my husband I was gonna take a shower and to keep his phone on him and then texted my mom to give her an fyi to be ready. At least for me they were really THAT obvious

i was on the phone with my mom for 3 hours telling her "I'm not in labor, I don't want them to send me home" and the whole time she's like, no your in labor. finally got hubby up and went to er, I was 7 cms dilated

It’s when you can’t hold a conversation anymore and everything is annoying you because the pain is lowkey deafening. Harder to breathe. It’s like a wave of back pain and once the contraction is over you can breathe better and then it happens again 3 times and that’s when you get a snack drink your favorite drink, get your partner to pack your bags and head out the door 😭

You'll get some pain in your stomach and back and your stomach will tighten like crazy. You'll be like oh shit this hurts and then it'll go away. But then it'll come back at regular intervals, like 8 minutes apart then closer and closer. Then you will know and be like oh shit even more and should probably go to the hospital. lol hope that helps

Feels like a twinge at first like a lil “oo that might be spicy” in your belly or lower back and then will start to feel like diarrhea cramps (the ones that make your hips and butt hurt) and then it feels like a BIG period cramp but for the whole size of your uterus from under your ribs and down in the front and from like mid back to your hamstrings, not just below your belly button.
