@thisismoney: A major youth jobs boost has been announced as the UK pledges 300,000 new work placements across key industries for young people 📉 The government says the scheme will span sectors including construction, healthcare, retail, hospitality and digital roles, aiming to tackle rising youth unemployment after warnings of a potential “lost generation”. More than one million young people are now not in education, employment or training, with officials saying the placements will provide hands on experience and training to improve long term job prospects. The move comes as ministers face pressure to fix a struggling entry level jobs market, with concerns that fewer apprenticeships and higher employment costs are leaving young people locked out of work. #ThisIsMoney #Money #News #UK
