It's 1:42 AM in Egypt, and honestly, I still don't know if this video will stay up or not. I made it a year ago when I turned 20, just to document my life at that moment. Looking back at it now, it holds so many memories. So many conversations, thoughts, dreams, and moments that felt heavy at the time. It holds a version of me that was simply trying her best. One thing I've always wanted people to understand from what I share online is that I'm just a normal person. A normal person who is trying. Sometimes things go well, and sometimes they don't. Sometimes I feel strong, and sometimes I feel lost. Sometimes I achieve things I'm proud of, and other times I'm just trying to make it through the day. I know social media can make people feel like they're behind. Like everyone else has life figured out. Like everyone else started from a better place, had more opportunities, or got there faster. And if there's anything I wish more people knew, it's that it's okay if your journey is taking longer than you expected. It's okay if you're still trying. It's okay if you're carrying struggles that nobody sees. Allah knows. Nothing is lost with Him. Maybe that's why this video means so much to me. Not because it's perfect, but because it's real.
