PSA for yall that get a portable vacuum, keep it separate in the TSA bin and tell them what it is. it does NOT show up as a good thing on xray

works in the US, but not overseas. Airlines like Turkish Airlines weighed both my carry-on and backpack as there is a weight limit for each. Gave me a hard time about 3 pounds over.

It's better to just use packing cubes. That way TSA doesn't get annoyed, and every time you need to grab a T-shirt, you have to vacuum-seal the whole bag again. Packing cubes also help keep your clothes from getting wrinkled as easily. And one more thing, if you're using vacuum bags for more than a week, they sometimes stop holding the seal, so have fun with that.
