my fav thing abt hak and soowon's friendship is that they are truly one of the only anime relationships where there was strong strictly platonic chemistry. hak loved both yona and soowon, but he was IN love with yona and that is made so apparent in the way he grieved his friendship with soowon yet still chose yona bc of his loyalty to the king and yona and romantic inclination. (obv hak and soowon can be shipped tgt romantically if ppl want to, but the source material writes it in such a clear way that it never became a choice between the love interest and a bsf the same way a traditional shounen does and i adore that)
