Interesting thought. But maybe we should also ask ourselves: do we care about anyone, or do we just expect others to care about us?I see so many people saying they’re disappointed by others, hurt by others, abandoned by others. But who are these “others”? We are the others in someone else’s story too.For me, peace doesn’t come from believing nobody cares. It comes from not expecting anything from anyone and from looking at ourselves before blaming everyone else. Maybe if we spent less time focusing on who didn’t show up for us and more time asking whether we show up for others, we’d see things differently.
