I saw this quote the other day, and it was like a kick in my side haha, so many people I know just try their best to put on a brave face in order to meet the day with what they hope it is. That’s a special power but it can come at a cost. Never let yourself forget that it’s okay to need help, to ask for it, to have rest without deserving or earning it. Rest is a necessity. Grace is something you need to offer yourself. You have spent your whole life feeling like you’re not enough and yet here you are doing so much for so many people without even acknowledging the good things you bring. Your expectations for who you are or who you should be are too high and unrealistic! you don’t need to be a super hero. Please give yourself some time and space and kindness. And if you know people like this in your life, please look out for them. Listen to them.
