@charly_recs: 1979 witnessed Jerry Lee’s first performance at the Palomino Club in Van Nuys, California. This legendary honkytonk was one of Lee’s favourite stomping grounds, and he was something of a favourite son with the patrons. He played for three nights from 18-20 June and there were further appearances in 1981 and 1985. In 1991, some thirty years ago, The Complete Palomino Club Recordings – a double CD set – was released on Tomato Records.
