I work in SNF that accepts Medicaid in Portland and when patients don’t have money for transportation to dialysis or appointments, I quickly bring up ride to care through the Oregon health plan. Like it’s so sad to see pts not being able to get to their appointments, like it can get so stressful managing their finances and appointments without the help of family members assisting

I’ve literally had a nursing student who didn’t get scrubs in time for their first clinical ask me for my SCRUB JACKET…OFF of my back while I was buying food before my shift. This was in the hospital cafeteria. I was too stunned to speak.
