Francis C. :
I'm fine with the underhand serve but to do it after taking so long to serve by tossing it up and letting it hit the ground, then wiping her face, then bouncing the ball several times first, it is kind of poor etiquette.

Tennis sucks bc you do something clever and ppl get mad. Like in a fun sport, trick shots are considered impressive and it just becomes the new meta

Speedychino :
Is it any different than a pitcher choosing a fastball vs a changeup? Make this part of the game and receiver needs to be ready for anything.

Idk I don’t mind the underhand serve but after you’ve tossed and caught it I feel like that’s not very sporting

McKenzie Comeaux McCowan :
Might be unpopular opinion, but I think keeping your opponent on their toes is good sportsmanship🤷🏼♀️you should always expect the unexpected.

@AJL Studies :
Idk I feel like if you gotta do all that trying to deceive your opponent and catch them off guard and stuff it takes away from the game. That’s just me though.

Nothing wrong with it, in fact i’d encourage it to promote variety of shot

The camera angle doesn’t show it, but Golubic turned her back after Kostyuk missed the ball toss and took her sweet time getting into ready position.

I don’t know why they don’t do this more often esp. when the opponent is way back.

tennis became boring when it moved to power serve and less return volley. a good ace is nice though, sometimes
