As long as you spend a certain amount i believe it’s around 5000 yen you can get tax free before November 1 when it changes

I’d have no issue paying the taxes, their economy is in rough shape as it is. Even paying the taxes, it’s still cheaper for foreign visitors to purchase goods. Stop fear-mongering this change
