The bottom of the declaration of independence is a prayer "we," we meaning the founders of the country, "hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal endowed by their Creator" if we isn't enough evidence they literally all signed the bottom of it in agreement. This means not only did the founders believe we were equal individuals but also created by God. Means our rights don't come from suits in DC they are unalienable and given by God so they cannot be infringed on by man. Also separation of church and state isn't in the founding documents of our country it was in a letter written by Tomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists. And separation of church and state meant in that letter that the government cannot establish a nation wide religion. It was actually meant to protect religious freedom from the government. The left wing (you) have turned it into a weapon like you do everything government related to try to go after religion but that's just fascism. But no you are absolutely wrong America was built on judeo Christian values and Greek reason. It's why we have a lot of our laws that were taken directly from the Bible like do not steal, do not murder, etc. President Abraham Lincoln actually had his own Bible called the Lincoln Bible and they had church every Sunday in the capital. Then there is Thomas Jefferson the first president of our country that was a devout Christian and often wrote about God. That's actually one of the clearest facts of our founding history. But you will always have liars of course.

separation of church and state is not in the constitution what you might be talking about freedom of religion and how the state can't establish a state religion. However that doesn't mean the beliefs of a follower of a religion can't influence who that follower votes for or making laws inspired by values that are in a religion.

Separation of church and state is NOT part of the first amendment. The concept of separation came from a letter from Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Convention. Many of our laws are based on the Judeo -Christian moral code.

You misunderstood the separation of church and state letter Jefferson wrote to a church. Basically said govt has no power over a church and churches should have an influence to the govt.
