@fox8nola: The incident was a terrifying experience for roller coaster riders at a Texas amusement park on Thursday. Eight people were stuck dangling midair on the Iron Shark roller coaster at Pleasure Pier in Galveston. “So once it stops, it pushes you all the way up, but this time it made like a very big bang. Like it went, ‘Boom,’” Cayce Escobar, who witnessed the rescue, said. “So it just got stuck there. It just got stuck, and then this is where the operator was trying to click buttons and stuff like that to try to bring it down. So then boom, he keeps doing it. He’s like, ‘Oh, it’s not working.’”
