@mosheh: Former Attorney General Pam Bondi told the House Oversight Committee on Friday that the Justice Department made “redaction errors” in its release of records tied to Jeffrey Epstein. The DOJ failed to redact dozens of Epstein victims' names, including more than two dozen who were minors, when releasing documents as part of the Epstein Files Transparency Act earlier this year. It led to criticism from Democrats and Republicans. Committee Chairman, Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., said before the interview Friday that the committee is "trying to do is just connect all the dots and see if there is a way to hold people accountable... It's not just this administration, it goes back several administrations." During the closed-door interview on Capitol Hill, Bondi said then-Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who is now the acting attorney general, had overseen the release. She said she was assured that “the only materials that were withheld were either non-responsive, privileged, or duplicative." Critics argue the DOJ is still withholding more Epstein-related files. Bondi had a bandage on her throat, as she is recovering from treatment for thyroid cancer, which she announced this week.
