@europeroyals: Queen Máxima of the Netherlands received her beret during her military training as a reservist with the Royal Netherlands Army and concludes the first phase of the training program, on 29th May 2026. As a reservist, Queen Máxima is assigned to the Military Household of His Majesty the King, from where she is undertaking her training. She will not be attached to a specific branch, regiment, or corps, but will instead fulfill a broad and general role within the Royal Netherlands Army. Consequently, her beret features a lion set against a ponceau-red background—also known as the insignia of the General Staff.
