@lopez..7x: The Boeing Vertol BV-347 (Model 347) was an experimental helicopter developed by Boeing Vertol in the United States in 1969, created from the conversion of a CH-47A Chinook (65-07992) as a demonstrator of advanced technologies to improve the US Army's heavy-lift helicopters. Its first flight was on May 27, 1970, and it was intensively tested for over two years, accumulating approximately 350 flight hours. The tests evaluated hover performance, payload flight, stability, noise reduction, and instrument piloting, etc. Although it did not enter production, many of the lessons learned and technologies tested (such as fly-by-wire, 4-bladed rotors and ergonomic improvements) influenced later versions of the Chinook and other designs. The only prototype ever built is preserved and on display at the US Army Aviation Museum in Alabama #helicopter #helicoptero #usarmyaviation #aircraft #fyp
