The battery in your phone is always being used the battery in your TV remote is only being used when you press a button that’s why it takes longer for it to stop working it’s two different batteries why is that so people to understand

Tv remotes use very little power therefore the batteries last a long time. It’s not that difficult to understand. 🤷🏻

the remote only uses power when you press a button, and maybe a microscopic amount for memory. But in general a remote uses 1 tiny led that only uses power for a split second when you click a botton. the TV being on has nothing to do with the remote power use. your phone, even when the screen is off is constantly running dozens of programs checking alerts and powering wiresless recievers etc. and when the screen is on, it burds loads of power. pri tip turn off tjings your not using. bluetooth, wifi, gps etc. saves loads of power.

The remote is only drawing power from the batteries when the buttons are being pressed. Your phone is constantly drawing power for multiple high output functions.

actual reason is that lithium ion batteries like the ones in your phone have much less capacity than the store bought alkaline ones, but lithium ion batteries are rechargeable meanwhile alkaline ones arent, theres also much more kinds but those are the most common

There’s not a single battery in the world that will last that long for remote controls. One you don’t use it enough so it will last longer but usually after 1.5 years the acid will start leaking out
