Yeah, I think part of the problem is that a lot of people went into the Backrooms movie expecting the next big thriller or horror blockbuster. But the Backrooms has never really been about constant scares or action. The appeal comes from the psychological horror, the isolation, the feeling of being trapped in an endless place that makes no sense, and the way that slowly wears down a person’s mind. If you’ve followed the Backrooms lore for a long time, that unsettling atmosphere is a huge part of what makes it interesting. It’s less about monsters jumping out at you and more about the fear of being completely alone in a place where reality itself feels wrong
