@rentertain: Although not my favorite Tarantino film, it’s still VERY good. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) gave Brad Pitt one of the most memorable roles of his career. And that’s saying something in such a long career! As Cliff Booth, Pitt plays the kind of character who says very little but somehow steals every scene. Cool under pressure. Dangerous when necessary. Completely comfortable in his own skin. I feel like Steve McQueen was a big inspiration for Pitt…he’s just so cool in the film. It is the type of performance that looks effortless… until you realize how difficult it is to pull off. Pitt’s work as Cliff earned him the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, the first acting Oscar of his career. More than a decade after becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, he finally took home the industry’s highest honor. What makes Cliff Booth unforgettable is the mystery. You never quite know what he is thinking! You never know exactly what he is capable of (killing his wife..maybe? lol ) But you cannot take your eyes off him. Few supporting characters have left a bigger mark on modern cinema. Was Cliff Booth the best performance of Brad Pitt’s career?
