as someone who works in a cemetery, this happens cause of the freezing and thawing of the ground in winter but all cemeteries will raise, level and clean the stone free of charge if you just ask. it's hard to keep tabs on every single stone all year round

there's a cemetery near my house and when I go for walks I stop by and fix the fallen flowers and the brush covering the head stones♥️
