The Mind is still participating in the story, making judgements, choices, thinking and feeling. The Watcher is not actively participating in the story, its observing, not through detachment tho, its attached to the story but not a participant making judgments about the story, it lacks embodiment and identity, because identity is a story you create or others create about you. The Watcher doesn’t carry any values, it doesn’t feel emotions, it doesn’t have a preference. It’s just observation without participation.
