When you say ‘clean’ do you mean scooping the litter box? Are there people who don’t scoop at least once daily??? I’m doing that plus changing out and wiping clean the litter box every few days

90% of the time, I am cleaning that litter box as soon as the cat is done with it. For my own sake as well. I kinda just see it as flushing the toilet?

i scoop twice a day, more if I happen to see them poo. 2 cats. Scoop AT LEAST 15 pee clumps a day of various sizes. One is 6 months old so will pee more often. I feed a majority wet diet with added water to the wet food too. they get a small amount of dry overnight. even their treats are mostly moisture treats.

you should clean your litter box every time you notice they’ve gone. cats are not easier than dogs in this way you should be cleaning up after both of them immediately

You need to scoop minimum 1x a day. Clean like wash their litter boxes? Maybe once every couple weeks depending on how dirty it gets. My cats eat wet food only so they pee a few times a day.

I’ve never heard of anyone cleaning it once a week. You remove waste as soon as the cat uses it.

1 more box than cats that you have, clean daily, fill regularly, have multiple sources of water, use water fountains to make them interested in drinking, give them wet food, get them a regular vet and keep them up to date on services!

when you say once a week do you mean scoop the poop/pee out or emptying, cleaning and refilling the tray? 😊 I always take the poop out as fast as I can bc it just feels cleaner for her and for me (and also bc its smelllyyyy) 😂

The liter boxes are cleaned every day and deep cleaned every month PLUS they have plant-based litter that makes hard clumps and doesn’t dust and have a water fountain that they drink from enough to pee several times a day. Their vet even remarks how hydrated they are for cats
