@adaptwithjames: Today was all about celebrating my wife turning 40 & fabulous at @Paultons Park 🎢❤️ I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit apprehensive about going on a rollercoaster today. It’s been a while since I last went on one and, unfortunately, MND has progressed a lot since then, especially with my neck and arms. Things that used to feel normal now take a lot more thought, planning, and usually a bit of help from complete strangers. I’ve got more used to asking for help these days… but honestly, it never really gets easier. That little voice in your head still fights it every time. But I have to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Paultons Park for making me feel normal, not awkward, not a burden… just another dad and husband enjoying a day out with his family. Their kindness and help meant I could still enjoy one of my favourite rides in the park. Thankfully, I survived the rollercoaster without my neck flying off 😂 and I was absolutely fine afterwards… although I think this might officially be my limit at this stage. Still, for one day, MND took a bit of a back seat and we made some really lovely memories together. ❤️
