@crimemurdermayhem: After Netflix released The Crash, Dominic Russo’s family says they’ve been forced to relive this tragedy publicly all over again. Now, Dominic’s sister Christine Russo is calling for Ohio lawmakers to modernize “Son of Sam” laws for the social media era arguing that violent offenders should not be able to gain fame, money, sponsorships, donations, or influencer status from crime-related notoriety online. The petition was created in honor of Dominic Russo and Davion Flanagan. Victims before influencers. Justice before profit. #jjdd #truecrime #fyp #truecrimecommunity #thecrash
I’ll be signing the petition. If we don’t stop this, as soon as she gets out, she will run to social media, just like gypsy, and sadly people will follow her, and make her famous, and she will have what she’s always wanted. And Dom and Davion will never have the opportunity to live out their dreams! 💔

It needs to be a law nationwide. Gypsy Rose shouldn’t be famous.

Lord another one that can’t do research Ohio, the Son of Sam law reads as a mandate that prevents convicted criminals or their associates from profiting off the publicity of their crimes, instead redirecting those funds into a compensatory account for the victims.Chapter 2969 REVISED IN 2004. Something should be revised yes, but They will never allow the part of not allowing someone to make money because of their notoriety, it violates the first amendment. Example Gypsy Rose is famous for her crime but she doesn’t make content regarding her crime. Doing so would violate her ability to earn a living. Not fair but accurate. Also wasn’t difficult to read up on
