Name: Ibrahim Rasheed Address: M. DheeframAage Ibrahim Rasheed joined NSS (now MNDF) as a Lance Corporal on 25th December 1983. He was one of the most capable soldiers that MNDF has ever enlisted during that time. He was also known for being an experienced pilot as well. Ibrahim Rasheed was an off duty officer when the 3rd November attack took place. He still actively involved himself on that day by inspecting throughout Malé with other off duty officers. He later filled many pivotal duties after the November 3rd attack. He therefore received the November 3rd medal and ribbon for his hardwork. He was given a special promotion on 23rd December 1988 regarding November 3rd and was promoted from Staff Sergeant to Lieutenant. Ibrahim Rasheed is also known for being in many search and rescue operations as a pilot. He has inspected and searched for many people who were lost at sea. Ibrahim Rasheed was widely recognised for transporting an MNDF platoon to Addu City to quell a civil unrest which took place in Fuvahmulah City during the early 2000s. He also transported a local army diving team to Gdh. Kaadehdhoo regarding the 2004 Enama Boat Capsizing disaster. Ibrahim Rasheed was also appointed to the Deputy Commissioner of Maldives Police Headquarters regarding the saddened Maafushi Shooting incident which took place in 2003. He was appointed to the role by then President Maumoon Abdul Qayyoom due to ongoing Humanitarian Violation investigations within the police force. Ibrahim Rasheed retired as a Lieutenant Colonel on 4th May 2023. He served the public for 42 years as an army officer and as a pilot. He is a well decorated army pilot till this day. He received 5 medals and 8 ribbons during his 20 year long career in Maldives National defence Force.
