@thenobspainter: I genuinely didn’t expect the difference between this 18" Fortress setup and a standard 9-inch roller to be this noticeable. The amount of paint this 18-inch roller holds compared to a 9" one is ridiculous, and once properly loaded, it absolutely flies across larger walls while still leaving a clean, even finish. You can also tell Fortress designed this whole range around production speed and efficiency on site. Bigger 30L buckets for fewer refills, different nap sizes depending on the surface you’re painting, lightweight easy-clean frames, extension pole, and pretty much everything needed to work faster without compromising the finish. After properly testing it, I can definitely see why more decorators are moving towards setups like this. This was part of a collaboration with Fortress, but I wasn’t told what to say or given a scripted opinion. Everything in this video is based on my genuine experience using the setup. Check out the full range through the link in my bio. @Screwfix #FortressTrade #Ad #painter #decorator #DIY

My daughter laughs at me but I use a mini roller for all surfaces. It’s lighter, faster and doesn’t waste as much paint. I just find the larger roller too heavy. Im not a pro though!

The trouble is is that the rolling is by far the quickest part of the job anyway

Why do you spray (water?) on the rollers before paint?

Do you have a video showing how you smooth bumpy corners as it’s difficult to fill in or like the wood frame
