john carney is one of Irelands best film makers. check out his earlier film Sing Street. gorgeous. seems largely based on the long running true story around how Irish songwriter Ray Heffernan was highly involved in the writing of Robbie Williams classic Angels. check out that story too. finally... i couldn't agree more. I was a sobbing glorious mess at the end (thinking about my daughter's 🥰). oh... obsession left me queasy 😳

This sounds like what Robbie Williams did to Ray Heffernan, an Irish singer songwriter at the time, not well known. Robbie was in Ireland for a period of time before his solo career really took off, socialised with ray and either Robbie or his manager basically stole the song Angels from ray and hey Jo Robbie’s career skyrocketed

lovely film .. sometimes it is nice just to watch a nice film .. the ending was great. I was surprised how good nick Jonas was.. in a way you want both of them to do well
