@mariahhcooks: Mango Sticky Rice 🥭🍚🌞 Perfect summer dessert with mango season finally here 😍 Sweet coconut sticky rice paired with juicy ripe mangoes… simple but SO good. Recipe: Toppings • 2 ripe mangoes • Black sesame seeds Sticky Rice • 1 cup glutinous rice (sticky rice) • 1 ⅔ cups water Coconut Sauce • 1 can coconut milk • ¼ cup sugar • ¼ tsp salt • ½ tsp vanilla bean paste or pure vanilla extract (optional) Cornstarch Slurry • 1 tsp cornstarch • 1 ½ tsp water Instructions 1. Rinse sticky rice several times until water runs mostly clear. Add rice and water to a pot or rice cooker and cook for 15 minutes. 2. In a saucepan over low heat, combine coconut milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture is smooth. 3. Pour 1-1 ½ cup of the warm coconut sauce over the cooked sticky rice and mix gently until creamy and absorbed. Then add slurry to remaining sauce and stir and let thicken. 4. Slice ripe mangoes and plate alongside the sticky rice. 5. Drizzle with extra coconut sauce and top with black sesame seeds and enjoy :) #mango #mangostickyrice #mangoseason #juicy #fypシ
