I feel it’s a type of decision fatigue. He carried the weight of making decisions and guiding your family through life that he simply didn’t have time to do smaller tasks and then it piles up. This happens to my desk at home and then I get time and clear it out then I get busy and everyone piles things in there and then I have to carve out time to clean it up. It’s a direct reflection of my mental health and mental load and I have to force myself to care for me.
