@tipcentric: Have you ever stripped a screw half way through driving it? I know I have. Don't mess around with pliers or a claw hammer trying to get the screw out, just open your drill chuck, slip it over the screw head, tighten it up, and drive the screw back out. That only works if the screw is backed out enough that you can get a grip on it. If it's fully engaged, you need a screw tap

95% of the time you're dealing with a stripped screw it's fully seated and not sticking out 2 inches
