If it’s a used car ask for the inspection sheet to see what they addressed was bad and ask for the repair sheet to see what they chose to fix and didn’t fyi

I called and asked for a sales rep.. I said I drove it, I want it. I dont have time to sit there all day.. Heres my info and send me #s. He did, I bought it and went in next day to sign n be done. I will 100% go back to that same sales man just cause he did that and made it about what I wanted..

Oh I did call and got the OTD price. Then when we went there to purchase they raised the price almost $4000 and the salesman I work with stated he didn’t notice the price increase.

I agree with you, but I go a step further and don't pick up the phone at all. Everything over text and email. gives you time to think about your response. you don't want to allow them to get you emotionally invested in the vehicle

Appreciate your tips and videos. I was able to negotiate fully over the phone, called multiple dealers to use their prices with each other and saved $4k from the next dealer, best price in my area on what I wanted. 1 tried to get me to come in, the one I bought from did not & very easy to negotiate over the phone with them.

Car salesman here…this method is 100% the right route to go and most dealers will be more than willing to work with you before coming in! Nowadays everyone has similar cars to sell and the only thing dealers really have to offer is transparency and an honest experience. Clear communication is key for both parties!

My last two purchases were strictly over text messages! I sent them pics of my vehicle, of course they did a full inspection when I arrived. I got sales sheets and all to use as leverage to other dealerships. Be straight forward that you’re speaking with others.

I took your advice never said anything about cash! Asked for the numbers double checked. Asked to have papers ready. They drove the car to me to test drive. Not a steal but fair price. Own financing wrote a check and walked out! In the dealership 20min. Warranty guys. If it ain’t free it ain’t for me. I already have the check written out!!!!
