Would recommend checking out your local Chinese Supermarket. They have larger dragon fruit, still £4 but not as tiny as the British versions.

I thought they didn't really taste of anything just very slightly sweet but nothing to compare to flavour wise it didn't have much flavor but star fruit is delicious like a grape and apple hybrid but rarely sold in the UK 😭

this cactus fruit originated from mexico/south america and the original name, pitaya, is probably an old name inherited by mexican for the fruit. and red one is better for diabetics. asia got it much later.
