That’s a difficult decision you have to make. Either you choose peace without closure or you seek closure and you might destroy your peace. I chose my peace and although I sometimes wonder what if, it’s something that I have to live with and I am okay with that. I am so much better now after months of sadness and despair. Always choose peace even if the unknown is something you want known.

While filing out the divorce papers he said “i don’t want to selll the house because it will take so long, you can have it! I need to move on and be happy”…… out of all the hurtful shit he said, this hurt the most. From blindsiding me of 10 years of resentment in January, asking for space in January, texted me he wanted a divorce in March, early April said he wanted to work on things, 1 week later said he forced himself to work on things and he’s done, filed the next day!! The person i imagine growing old with, my first and last thought of the day, the person my heart beat for… just gone after 16 years. 💔💔💔

What he did after doesn't matter. He treated you that way and nothing he did after that involves you. let yourself heal from him, make yourself better and never open that door to him again. you are worth more than that love.

At first it hurts. And take it from someone that lost sleep and appetite…but with time you heal and you learn to accept the closure you never got… trust me, that door closing was the best thing that happened to you… even if you wake up once in a while doubting it…:if someone is okay w walking away and being with out you, you must do the same. And NEVER EVER look back. Have some self respect and move on no matter how much it hurts. Someone that TRULY loves you will never give up on you.
