First half was so good, the second half bombed. I would have preferred to never see the entity even from a mental illness standpoint bc it’s not always a problem you can SEE. Plus it made it cheesy. Better would have been she goes to find him, he’s surrendered to the crazy exacerbated by the backrooms, she runs away giving us more back rooms content, looses him but is lost and pushes thru her own childhood issues breaking her own loop and finding a way out

Am I the only one who loved it? Kane Parsons is a genius. It’s horror with psychological and drama elements. The spaces in the backrooms are like parallel dimension of people’s memories at least that was how I interpreted it.

Spoilers for those who haven’t seen it. I loved the movie, but it’s definitely flawed. The third act is so rushed it feels unearned. We also get no on-screen explanation of what really happened to Kat, and it’s just glossed over. I also didn’t like how Mary’s story was randomly spliced throughout the film. It should have been done all at once. There were a few high tension moments in the Backrooms that just lose any momentum because we flash back to Mary’s childhood.

I just didn’t really think it was that good, which i understand now is an unpopular opinion. It just fell flat and didn’t really feel as eerie or claustrophobic as I wanted it to (and that’s fine I’m glad everyone else is liking it)

I actually really enjoyed it. I especially LOVED the 90’s aesthetic and the cinematography was beautiful 🤞🏻 it was giving uncanny valley

Tbh it would’ve worked better as a series imo. The pacing was weird and I think it was a mistake to lose some characters too quickly.

i really liked this movie, but i feel like the need to have a "plot" ruined the whole premise. obviously as a movie, it has to have a story, but the whole point of the backrooms is that it doesn't make sense and its just a mash up of messed up things. I wish they'd focused more on the backrooms as a character itself rather than just a creepy setting for the final monster
