Costco days are takeout days. It also seems crazy, because we just bought so much food. However, I am so exhausted after doing the inventory and the list, doing the actual shopping, unloading the car, stocking and everything where it belongs. Plus, we’re usually hitting another standard grocery store on the same day for smaller quantity ingredients we need.

I'm so impressed you can do all that in 2.5 hrs. it's so much - I usually give up at the putting away point and we end up eating out of some of the boxes for a few days until they get taken care of 🤦♀️

A couple of decades ago I made an excel spreadsheet to show my husband how much time I spent in a year doing the grocery shopping (all the pieces you mentioned). It added up to about one week a year out of my life.

Pro tip for cardboard box breakdown sessions - grab a big bag (I use the giant IKEA bags) and toss them in there to bring out to the bin later. Because I am NOT making multiple trips down and up the stairs after all that.
