If we display a cross on our neck, put verses in our bios, wear Jesus t-shirt, praying publicly in His name, etc... that IS claiming you believe in Jesus... congrats on that, but know that you've placed yourself under a standard. Not MANS standard, But His! And that standard is clear: Sinning and living in sin are not the same thing. One is a struggle. The other one is a residence. Jesus said "Repent!". Jesus said "Sin Not". Grace is real, but grace was never a permission slip to stay comfortable in what grieves God. Hearing the Word of God can produce faith. Faith should produce conviction. Conviction leads to repentance. True Repentance 100% produces transformation. The question isn't whether we sin, it's whether sin has control over us. AND if you have REAL influence in this world, that question carries even more weight. Because "little ones" are watching. Believers are being shaped. And God asks one question over all of it: Did your light make them glorify Me? We are in a season of mercy and grace right now. The door is open, Jesus is the door, but open doors still require a decision. Jesus warns that a lot of Christians will never make it into Heaven because their lives are phony. (I paraphrased) So many people THINK they know Jesus, but Jesus said to many he will say "I NEVER KNEW YOU". So, do your REALLY know Jesus? Examine yourself and test your faith! Point toward Him and not halfway but * Fully * Romans 6:1-2 -> shall we continue in sin that grace may increase? Absolutely not!
