Southwest did me dirty during the TSA shutdown. My ticket was already about $549, and then they wanted another $85 just to choose a seat plus $35 for my bags. After that trip, I was done. I honestly don’t even feel like flying with any of these airlines anymore.

Sorry all that was over your head, you don’t have to pay for a seat if you don’t want to, if you for example want a window seat you have to choose a seat and pay for it, if you don’t care where you sit you don’t have to pay
