Here's how to connect Claude to your real tools so it stops telling you what to do and starts doing it. ______ HOW TO SET UP CONNECTORS 1. Go to claude.ai 2. Open Settings 3. Click Connectors 4. Click the plus icon and search for the tool you want 5. Follow the authorization steps (usually one or two clicks) 6. Done. The connector works across Claude Chat, Cowork, and Code. You can also toggle connectors on or off per conversation by clicking the plus button in the lower left of any chat. ______ THE CONNECTORS WORTH SETTING UP FIRST Gmail What you can do: Surface urgent emails, draft replies in your voice, summarize your inbox, find specific threads Try saying: "Read my emails from this week and surface anything that needs a response today." Google Drive What you can do: Pull documents, compare files, search across folders, summarize meeting transcripts Try saying: "Find the most recent meeting transcript in my Drive and summarize the key decisions." Google Calendar What you can do: Check your schedule, find conflicts, prep for upcoming meetings Try saying: "What meetings do I have tomorrow and what should I prep for each one?" Notion What you can do: Read and update pages, cross reference notes, pull project info Try saying: "Check my project tracker in Notion and tell me what is overdue." Slack What you can do: Read channels, draft messages, summarize conversations Try saying: "Summarize what happened in the marketing channel today." ______ COMBINING CONNECTORS The real power is using two or more together. Examples: - "Pull the meeting transcript from Drive and compare it against the notes in Notion. What commitments did we miss?" - "Check my calendar for tomorrow, read the background docs in Drive for each meeting, and draft a prep summary for each." - "Read my emails from this week and add any action items to my task list in Notion." ______ There are over 350 connectors available.
