self inserts can only be done right if 1. you can grasp your own criticisms (how others can view you) and flaws. (your holes, mistakes, that make you yourself) and 2. you can execute this self insert well and intergrate them into the plot. you can't execute a self insert well when you can't let your own self fall or make mistakes.
