Mothers mom shaming others over what they need. SMH. I’m the type to want people to visit me and the baby but I get that not everyone wants that. The first few months (especially the days right after birth) are exhausting and unless it’s people close to you that would actually help you, you might not want everyone near you. It can be overwhelming and more exhausting. I’m luckily not that exhausted though after birth after the first night.

I def wanna have some me time to chill and recover, like you don’t wanna see me with yuck all over lol. But I’m so excited to share bb with family… I would love a “homecoming” party with everyone there. Would be so sweet

I found out my mom was pissed that I didnt want anyone in the room after I gave birth. I was hemorrhaging. I didnt want anyone but my man and the nurse. Im no contact with her now 🤷♀️Not because of that, but that is one of many reasons

I didn't really have visitors either you're not really in the hospital that long anyway nowadays usually as long as everything goes smoothly you're out within a day or two and I didn't want anyone to see me like that it's totally normal not to want visitors during that difficult time

My daughter waited a month. People were upset but she had to do what’s best for her family. Some family had to wait until after the first vaccines.

I had three kids 1994, 1996 and 1998 I only had my nana and my mom at the hospital with dad. Once I was home and settled people came over.

We planned for this little baby to have visitors the day I give birth but not many and nobody the next day because of the annoying crap that happened with my first son ( one thing I wanted was to hold my sons car seat out the hospital and mil wouldn’t let me )

I really hope my MIL checks on me first at least. my mom is absolutely gonna do that, She told me "I wanna make sure my baby is okay before doing anything with my grandbaby." I love my mom <3

My MIL ruined my first experience while I was in the middle of pushing by making it about her. She said, "well it seems you guys are too busy to tell me what room your in, I guess you dont want me to see your baby and i wont". Im pregnant with my second and im so relieved my husband understands I dont want her at the hospital at all.

my mom told me I was hurting her feelings when I told her we didn't want anyone at the hospital and wouldn't have anyone visit once we got home for a few weeks. I told her it was a good thing she had more than one feeling so a few could stand to be hurt.

I only want my parents and my daughter to come to the hospital for my second but my in-laws are expecting to come. I feel guilty saying no but at least I fee comfortable asking for my baby back from my parents
