I know two grown men who’s gaming addiction lead to their divorces. People think gaming can’t be an addiction but after seeing their marriages fail and being outside looking in I saw it definitely is.

I’m in the opposite position I love exercise and its harder to not go then to go, but I cant find joy in other things in my life, the only time I feel fulfillment is from exercise and I have no social life as a result since I exercise 3-4 hours a day. I just exercise then scroll on tik tok.

You say like it is fun to actually do something irl. + in game you usually get reward. In real life there is no good reward. Just more suffering. You went to gym and then quit for the same reason you sometimes download a game just to delete it after an hour of playing: it is pointless and not even fun. It is wise to avoid doing something that you do not want to do, even if it earns you money. You just try to ignore this fact

I guess I was better off when I was 18, pregnant and forced to marry the father who hated me. My Dad disowned me, Mom died. It’s been a life without parents or family. When I hear stories like this it’s like from a whole different planet. I can’t imagine being taken care of by anyone.
