To improve the hollow olives, try filling the drainage holes with resin and curing to trap air inside and help them float. Like a tiny olive balloon.

Hear me out (disclaimer this might not work at all). You do a “hollow” olive with an open cylinder where the pimento would go. And then print pimento “end caps” and uv resin them onto the ends of the open cylinder leaving a small gap of air in the middle which should help with the buoyancy.

I make potions with resin dice. Glycerin helps a lot to change the density of water, and it is clear.

I think if you print them again but cover the drainage holes like people are saying, they're *only* going to float and they won't stay suspended in the water. so, opposite problem. my thought is that you may have to do a weighted pimento and seal the drainage holes so achieve movement up and down through the lamp.

So you made drainage holes so they’re hollow, but did you close them off to trap air inside each? Did I miss that part? If not, I’d close off the air inside for buoyancy ❤️

Already commented on the other vid but - Maybe a lava lamp like the one from the original comment, but with a few hollow olives inside too? So the wax (or whatever’s inside) will move the olives around with it?
