@diaryoftitigold_: The day I met my daughter was the day I faced the fear I’ve carried my whole life — tokophobia. I’ve feared pregnancy my whole life. For the last 3 months of my pregnancy, I thought about this day every single day, wondering, worried and terrified of what it would be like. So I chose to enjoy every moment of my pregnancy, because if I let the fear in, it would consume me. And yes, I got glammed up for my C‑section. Some people didn’t get it, but it grounded me. It gave me control. It made me feel strong. The hospital staff kept saying I was the most “put‑together mama” they’d ever seen. Someone even asked if I went into labour at a party , I told them I woke up, did my makeup, and came straight from home. You can imagine the bigger shock on their faces 😄 My anxiety was so intense I thought I’d pass out… until the moment she arrived. My Summer. 🌼🌸My sunshine. The name we chose before she came, but the name she proved she was born for. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
