The very first settlement meeting Evan Chandler (father of the boy who made the original claim in ‘93/‘94) had with Jackson’s lawyers Chandler asked for half of Jackson’s upcoming merger between Sony and ATV. And for them to make and distribute his screenplay. He later moulded that to the $23.5 million he got. The Jackson merger cost $47 million. Take from that what you will.
