I personally did not like the way that Conrad always projected his feelings of belly’s past self onto her current self. There are moments like this that seem cute and endearing, like “aw he knows her.” But then there are moments where he uses who he THINKS she should be as a weapon to hurt her or breed insecurity. “Why don’t you go look at yourself in the mirror some more?” or “go be with Jere, that’s who wants you not me.” Not saying that Jeremiah was good either, but he was never actually in any contention as a love interest😭The show throws him in as a conflict for what is the actual couple (belly and Conrad), so ultimately judging him harshly is ridiculous. He’s a plot device. I just find this kind of love to be toxic.
