i would fasho explain that it is their faith, and that would likely be a good catalyst for explaining what different faiths/religious practices even are and what they can entail because it's a very daunting and abstract concept for someone who has just never heard of it. after arming them with that knowledge, i'd for sure be willing to share your personal beliefs and encourage them to do some searching for themselves to see what resonates with them! we all gotta do our part in not cultivating various stigmas and religious traumas

As an atheist, I’m not anti religion so imo I think you can as long as u also don’t raise them as being opposed or against any religion cuz then they could always come to that conclusion on their own or at least they can respect that others have their own beliefs as well
